Eucharist collection. Each year NPM donates 50% of the collection from the Convention Eucharist to a charity in our host city. This year we are pleased to announce that Exit 0 ministries will be that recipient. With its hub of operations on the banks of the Ohio River, Exit 0 is focused on meeting the needs of the homeless population in Louisville and Southern Indiana. They are a faith-based organization that relies entirely on donations. They assist the homeless by coordinating resources for food, hygiene items, temporary shelter, legal services, addiction support, job counseling, and more.

WaterStep: help globally.

Local service project to support Louisville's homeless. Convention attendees are invited to engage in service to our brothers and sisters in Louisville by helping prepare care bags for the homeless in the Louisville area. Catholic Charities of Louisville distributes bags of toiletries and other basic items to meet the needs of the most vulnerable. Bags prepared today will be distributed at two locations: first, to those waiting in line at the Cathedral of the Assumption’s Daily Lunch Program, which serves approximately 140 people every day; and at Sister Visitor Center, a walk-in emergency assistance center in West Louisville, which serves approximately 300 families monthly. This project will take place on Friday following the Closing Event.
